It is a shift of status from one to another, but it is not development. For example, you have an unhealthy condition and you change it to a healthy one. But if you do not move forward while healthy, this does not yet mean development. Because development is the application of change. Change can only be a degree of the state. You can learn something and then change your consciousness into acquired knowledge. But if you do not make development within yourself from it, you have only changed the state of your knowledge.<\/p>\n<p>You have been told a secret, it may change you, but if you do not put it into action, you do not develop. Thus, if you have become a vegetarian, you have made a change, but if in your thoughts you continue to \u201cconsume\u201d people, have you developed? You have not.<\/p>\n<p>Development is the result of a change you have made in your consciousness, your body, your actions. To develop the change is the application of the higher. Because development implies the higher.
